“A bit about Jack”

I started with Baron & Co Locksmiths – 43 Broadwick Street, London W1 – 1959 – 1961 aged 21.
Worked as a Junior Locksmith, Lock Fitter, callout to offices such as American Embassy, Television Companies, “Red Light District Night Clubs” – Bailiff Work…..

Left for Australia from Southampton on 31st November 1961.
On arriving in Adelaide stayed with my first wife’s Mum and Dad and family. Worked in Adelaide for 3 months – working for Johns & Waygood Lift Company. Then on to Melbourne working for Chubb with Rolf Duvall – a German Locksmith and a very good tradesman.

Left Melbourne and came back to Adelaide staying with Chubb for four years.

I left Chubb to work for myself from April 1967 – 1999 and was in my own business, Salisbury Locksmiths for 32 years.

In this time I was involved in all aspects of locksmithing and safe work and in 1988 started designing and making various picking tools for general Locksmiths and Safe Engineers around the world as I could see there was a ‘need’. These tools are marketed as “LEVAPIX”.

Since leaving Salisbury Locksmiths I have continued designing and manufacturing Levapix tools – which I am still doing today with my present wife, Beryl, who handles all the office – Designing and printing of manuals – postage packaging & invoicing – and whatever else is needed!
